By Liz Haas,
Apple PowerBook customers will be able to experience DVD free of charge thanks to a promotional agreement between Apple and NetFlix.com, announced last week at the Macworld Expo.
NetFlix.com, which boasts an inventory of more than 1,400 DVD films, will be giving away two free DVD
rentals to buyers and current
owners of Apple PowerBooks with DVD-Video PC cards. In addition, customers
will be entered in a contest to win a free DVD rental each week for a year. The
contest runs from July 7 to Jan. 15.
NetFlix customers will receive their DVD videos within three days of ordering and have seven days to watch them. Returns are made via mail in a pre-addressed, pre-paid package.
