IBM on Wednesday launched content management software aimed at midsize businesses.
DB2Content Manager Express, which sells for $9,375 per server and $1,063 per concurrent user, is designed for quick deployment and incorporates self-managing capabilities to reduce maintenance costs. The software enables smaller businesses to capture, manage and store corporate documents, as well as media and graphic files.
In addition, the Armonk, N.Y., company unveiled a Linux version of its enterprise-level DB2 Content Manager. The product, available this week, sells for $29,000 per server and $2,500 per concurrent user. It's available for RedHat, SuSe, and United Linux.
