Hewlett-Packard Tuesday introduced four new color ink-jet printers, including one that will retail for under $40.
The four-some -- the DeskJet 5650, 5150, 3650, and 3520 -- boast print resolutions up to 4,800 dots per inch and speeds as fast as 15 pages per minute. They range in price from $149 (5650) to $39 (3520) at retail, and target home and business users who want a single-function photo-quality printer, said HP.
The sub-$40 3520, HP's lowest-priced color ink-jet, prints up to eight pages per minute at a resolution of 1,200 dots per inch (2,400 by 1,200 optimized), and features a fold-away paper tray.
While the 5150 is scheduled to ship in August, the others will be available in July.
