With spam at an all-time high and showing no signs of abating anytime soon, NextGen Development Corp. on Thursday debuted GoodbyeSpam.com, a service aimed at home and small business users of not only POP mail, but also AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, and Juno Web-based mail systems.
GoodbyeSpam uses a browser-based interface, lets users block incoming domains, and provides a way to import e-mail contact lists to establish pre-approved senders. All non-approved mail is bounced back to the sender, who must click on a link embedded in the return message to gain approval.
The version for small businesses, called Professional, manages an unlimited number of e-mail accounts and offers three levels of security for $5.32 per month ($15.99 per quarter).
