Corel Corp. (stock: CORL) and Microsoft Corp. both unveiled office applications at Comdex on Monday. Corel's WordPerfect Office 2002, which will be available in North America in the first half of 2001, includes applications such as WordPerfect 10, Quattro Pro 10, Corel Presentation 10, and CorelCENTRAL 10. Microsoft Corp. (stock: MSFT) also demonstrated its upcoming Office 10 suite, with new Task Pane capability that enables users to more easily format documents and perform other common jobs. Office 10 is due out late in the second quarter of 2001.
