Cybercrime Concerns Build Among Consumers

By

The majority of Americans are concerned about, or even feel threatened, by cybercrime, according to a nationwide poll by the Information Technology Association of America and EDS. About 67 percent of the 1,000 people surveyed said they were concerned, and 62 percent believe not enough is being done to protect Internet consumers against cybercrime. About the same number, or 61 percent, say they are less likely to do business on the Internet as a result of their worries, while 33 percent say crime has no effecton their e-commerce activities.
