PeopleSoft Webifies Vantive CRM Apps

PeopleSoft Webifies Vantive CRM Apps

By David Drucker,

PeopleSoft today released a set of Web add-ons to its Vantive Enterprise CRM suite that provide browser access and added functionality to the company's core CRM apps.

The Vantive eBusiness applications initially include four modules: eSales for sales force automation and marketing; eService for adding customer self-help to e-commerce sites; eHelpDesk for adding employee self-service to internal help desks; and eFieldService for remote use by field service technicians. Additional modules will be released in upcoming months, said John Grozier, director of CRMproduct strategy at PeopleSoft.

PeopleSoft plans to make the Vantive Enterprise suite fully browser-based by year's end, eventually not requiring add-on applications, Grozier said.

Pricing for each of the Vantive eBusiness applications starts at $15,000 per server, plus a per-user fee starting at around $2,500.

PeopleSoft acquired Vantive and its CRM products late last year, and Vantive now serves as PeopleSoft's CRM products division.
