BMC Software said Monday that it will acquire Israel-based Identify Software Ltd. for about $150 million in cash in a move to beef-up its transaction management solutions.
"The acquisition of Identify's state-of-the-art application problem resolution technology will further extend BMC's . . . transaction management and will continue to clearly differentiate BMC's Business Service Management strategy," said Bob Beauchamp, BMC president and CEO, in a statement.
The announcement noted that Identify will reinforce BMC's capability in J2EE and .NET applications in addition to directly supporting BMC's business service management strategy.
