LogicLibrary Upgrades Development Management Tool

By TechWeb Technology News

LogicLibrary on Tuesday launched an upgrade of its metadata repository for managing reusable components and other software development assets.

Logidex 3.6 contains a new feature called Smart Controls, which make it possible for development organizations to govern the production process for components and web services in a service-oriented architecture, officials with the Pittsburgh, Pa.-based, company said.

Using the new feature, the upgrade can define and manage software development lifecycle validations, processes and roles related to all software development assets. These actions are customizable and can be automated either within Logidex or mixed with external tools, workflows and other mechanisms.

Logidex also includes integration with LogicLibrary's code-scanning technology Logiscan, additional integration with IBM's Rational Software Development Platform, and support for the Firefox browser.

The upgrade is currently available.
