Wyle to Support Development of Voting System Test Cases and Automated Source Code Review Tools

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyle has been awarded a $25,000 one-year grant to provide support for the development of test cases and test suites for the National Institute of Standards and Technology for use in the Election Assistance Commission voting systems certification program.

The tests are designed for use by voting system test laboratories to ensure that hardware and software testing of voting systems is accurate and repeatable no matter which laboratory performs the testing.

Wyle will help develop detailed testing protocols for certain sections of the 2005 Voluntary Voting System Guidelines. In addition, Wyle will assist National Institute of Standards and Technology developers in creating automated review tools for source code. The work is being completed by Wyle's Test and Engineering East facility in Huntsville, Ala.
