ST. LOUIS, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- dpi, the leading reseller of Apple products for businesses across the U.S., announced it is expanding to the West Coast to serve the exploding demand for Apple Computer products from business accounts. The new office, in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, will be the West Coast headquarters for the Clayton, MO-based company.
"We are seeing exponential growth in demand from business accounts for Apple products," said Matina Koester, dpi's president. "The iPhone, the iPad and the applications that run on them have opened the door for a lot of companies that previously had been closed off to Apple products. We needed to expand to keep up with the demand."
The increased demand for the product in the corporate market has been a long time coming for dpi, which started selling and servicing Apple products in 1994. At that time, Apple had strong sales among consumers, but, in corporate sales, it was limited to the art and graphics market. With the success of the iPhone over the last three years, companies have opened the door to other Apple products, and the iPad has clinched the deal in many important business sectors such as the medical and legal businesses.
Over nearly 20 years, dpi has acquired a reputation for exceptional customer service and support, two extremely important aspects of sales to the corporate market. In addition to Apple products, dpi provides exchange support for software such as Microsoft Outlook and mobile device management, and sells complementary business products like storage and backup systems, as well as providing Apple business support, Apple consulting and Apple training.
"We understand the needs of our customers that go beyond the price of the equipment," Koester said. "We provide the full range of support including training, repair and service. Our customers keep coming back to us for that reason."
To support the expansion, dpi will be hiring sales and support staff for the West Coast office and in St. Louis. dpi is also planning to open an office in New York City by next summer. "We are well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities we are seeing in the corporate market," Koester said.
Founded in 1994, dpi is the leading reseller of products to the growing market of enterprise users of Apple equipment. The company provides exceptional sales and state-of-the-art service to its customers who have rewarded its dedication to their needs with a loyalty beyond the typical business relationship.
