WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- XBRL US, the national consortium for XML standards in business reporting and developers of the XBRL US GAAP Taxonomies, is conducting an in-person training workshop in San Francisco, CA on September 16, 2009 to educate preparers on how to create XBRL-formatted financial statements for mandatory submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This hands-on session will demonstrate how to use the XBRL US GAAP Taxonomies and how to convert primary financial statements and block tag footnotes in XBRL format.

XBRL US is the non-profit consortium for XML business reporting standards in the United States and is a jurisdiction of XBRL International. It represents the business information supply chain, including accounting firms, software companies, financial databases, financial printers and government agencies.
