NORCROSS, Ga., May 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ServiceKey, LLC, a Norcross, Georgia based international IT hardware support for multi-vendor solutions including Sun/Oracle platforms, today announced a comprehensive settlement with Oracle. The resolution of all of Oracle's outstanding claims resulted in no obligation to pay any damages to Oracle, and no restrictions on any of the hardware services that ServiceKey can provide. The settlement also resolves all claims against ServiceKey's CEO who was named in the suit. Each Party agreed to be responsible to pay their own attorney fees. The agreement requires certain approvals of the US District Court of the Northern District of California, which are expected to be received shortly. Upon approval, the result will be full termination of the case against ServiceKey and its CEO.
"From the beginning of this litigation, ServiceKey has complied with our obligations to the legal system and to ensure we are following the law. We've worked hard to deliver on that commitment," said Angela Vines, ServiceKey CEO. "The proposed settlement represents significant progress toward an understanding between Oracle and ServiceKey, with respect to ServiceKey's appropriate role in the hardware service support market for Sun/Oracle systems."
"The effect of this settlement is to fully and finally resolve the time consuming and expense of litigation that ServiceKey has endured over the past year and a half. We are pleased to bring this matter to a successful close," said Vines. "I would like to take this time to extend great appreciation to all who were loyal and continued to support us through this entire distraction. We are only looking forward."
