Forget sibling rivalry: It's moms against kids and the rest of the family when it comes to Internet use. And guess who's winning.
Moms average nearly 17 hours a week online while teens surf 12 hours, according to recent research for America Online by Digital Marketing Services. E-mail and instant messaging are both groups' top activities. But while teens use the Net for fun, says an AOL women's channel spokeswoman, "for moms, it's about crossing to-dos off their list."
