When it comes to business intelligence, sharing the results of data analysis can be as important as the analysis itself. ProClarity Corp. next month will ship ProClarity release 5, a new version of the vendor's analytics platform it unveiled this week, with new collaboration capabilities that will help users share business logic and analytic practices.
The new software will include tools and features for capturing best analytic practices--such as how to identify at-risk customers--in the form of database-independent business logic. The software will also link data in disparate data stores throughout a company, including textual and numerical data and key performance indicators. Other new features will provide collaborative connections between users to communicate analytical findings, such as quickly propagating changes in sales forecasts to sales managers.
Release 5 can also centrally distribute management reports inside Microsoft Excel. Pricing for the workgroup edition of the ProClarity release 5 server starts at $19,500 for 25 users. ProClarity Selector, for building analytical logic, is priced at $995 per seat, while the desktop client is priced at $695 per seat.
