In an agreement with US Airways, Space Adventures Ltd. is offering suborbital space flights by collaborating with several independent companies, each of which is developing its own version of a Reusable Launch Vehicle.
US Airways customers with 10 million Dividend Miles can anticipate space tourism flights aboard these RLVs to begin in the 2003 to 2005 time frame--or you can pay $98,000 per person and sign up now. The trip includes overnight accommodations; Space Adventures suborbital flight ticket; custom-fit flight training suit; flight training; and personalized travel bag.
Those with a smaller stockpile of Dividend Miles--say, 30,000 plus $650--can trade it in for a VIP launch experience at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, including a tour of the launch and landing facilities.
For 250,000 miles and $2,000, you can experience weightlessness on a zero-G flight. Or, for 275,000 miles and $8,000, travel on a MiG-25 Foxbat jet fighter to the edge of space, at 85,000 feet. Check it out at http://www.spaceadventures.com
