Do you use Skype to Instant Message with people but hate that they can track your typing with the moving Skype pencil? Here's how to turn it off.

Open the main Skype screen that lists your contacts and go to Tools >> Options. Under IM Settings, make sure Advanced Options are showing, then uncheck Show When I am Typing. Click Save.

That's all there is to it. No more telltale pencil.Brian Burgess
