CoreSite Data Centers Remain Operational In Wake Of Hurricane Sandy Oct 30, 2012 (05:10 PM EDT) DENVER, Oct. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR), a national provider of powerful, network-rich data centers, is updating customers in regions affected by Hurricane Sandy that CoreSite's data centers remain fully operational. CoreSite data centers in the path of the hurricane include:
Of CoreSite's data centers in the affected region, only its facility in New York, NY was impacted, but there was no disruption to customer service levels. Due to extensive power outages in the New York region, CoreSite's data center at 32 Avenue of the Americas switched over to generator power during the evening of October 29. That transition occurred smoothly according to established procedures. CoreSite is checking regularly with Con Edison as to when normal power is expected to be restored, but remains confident in its ability to continue running on its emergency generators as long as necessary given that fuel deliveries have been secured and remain on schedule. "Our thoughts go out to the people and communities affected by the devastation of this storm," stated Tom Ray, President and CEO, CoreSite. "Amidst this much bigger picture, we are striving to ensure our customers have timely and accurate information as to the current state of site operations and understand how to reach us. We will issue further updates as and when necessary." Customers who have any issues, questions or concerns should call or email the CoreSite Operations Support Center (OSC) at 1.866.777.CORE or OSC@coresite.com.
