Oct 12, 2012 (05:10 PM EDT)
The 2012 holiday season's first Black Friday ads have started leaking to the public
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BFAds, the preferred online resource for breaking Black Friday news and deals, announced today that Black Friday advertising has kicked off for the 2012 holiday shopping season. With the posting of the Harbor Freight and Fred's ad listings and 4-page ad scans from each store, the marketing frenzy has officially begun. The first Black Friday ad leaks were posted this same time last year on October 12, continuing a competitive retail trend to present deals and discounts earlier to holiday shoppers.
"We fully expect to see this trend to advertise early Black Friday sales continue this year," stated Michael Brim, BFAds founder. "In the past, retail ads were more guarded for public consumption, but the last few years, stores have begun leaking their ads purposefully as part of their holiday marketing strategy."
BFAds.net initiated 16.9 million shopping trips in 2011 holiday shopping season. With more than 900,000 subscribers looking for Black Friday inside information, BFAds is the leading portal for news on the lowest prices, hottest products and expert advice on the best Black Friday deals. In addition to reviewing all the retail ads, BFAds visitors can find useful tools like comprehensive product reviews, smart consumer buying guides, store hours listings and community message boards where informed consumers can share tips and tactics with like-minded consumers.
"BFAds prides itself on being the best resource for advance news on Black Friday sales" adds Brim. "Our members start asking about the ads at the beginning of August. We love being able to help them take advantage of every savings opportunity this holiday season."
