GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Sept. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Ciber, Inc. (NYSE: CBR), a global information technology consulting, services and outsourcing company, today named Maria Pardee Senior Vice President and General Manager of its international division. Pardee has more than 25 years of professional IT experience, including 12 years of business development as a Partner/Vice President at leading IT services companies and five years as CIO and President of Global Integration for one of the largest multinational telecommunications companies.
"Maria brings Ciber extensive IT services experience and has earned the reputation of a 'market maker' for her significant business development successes that resulted in expanded client relationships and business opportunities," said Dave Peterschmidt, Ciber Chief Executive Officer. "Her tenure in leading major operations for multinational, European-based businesses, combined with her background on both sides of the consulting relationship and her proven success in sales leadership are fundamental to the transformation, growth and market expansion of Ciber's international business."
Pardee joins Ciber from Alcatel-Lucent where she was Senior Vice President of Global Enterprise Accounts. There, she built a new global direct sales organization that targeted Fortune 2000 clients and exceeded its growth objective by a third in the first year. She moved to Alcatel-Lucent from British Telecom (BT) where she served as President for Global Integration, and led the integration of 29 firms BT had acquired into its network and IT operations. Pardee joined BT as CIO for its Retail division, which accounted for more than half of the company's business. In that role, she led IT strategy development, program execution and a team of 4,500 internal staff and 3,500 external professionals from major IT consultancies. She has also worked as Managing Director for BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), leading its Communications and Content division, and Vice President of American Management Systems responsible for its largest communications client. In both businesses, her consultative, solutions sales approach and strong client relationship focus significantly increased sales opportunities and growth.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and her Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
"Ciber's international business has a track record of success and growth despite current economic headwinds in Europe," said Pardee. "I am eager to join the excellent leaders and performers already in the international team as we leverage global capabilities, process discipline and technology expertise to strengthen client relationships and build momentum in the business."
