Industry Veterans Hired To Run Viewpoints.com

Denise Chudy, a former Google executive, hired as General Manager, and Carol Fowler, formerly news director for Fox Chicago News, hired as Vice President of Editorial
CHICAGO, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Denise Chudy, an accomplished digital sales and marketing executive, has been named General Manager of Viewpoints (www.viewpoints.com), a leading consumer reviews and product ranking website. She will report to Viewpoints Founder and CEO Matt Moog. Denise Chudy succeeds Jolie Fleming, who has served as general manager since 2006. Moog is promoting Jolie Fleming to a newly created strategic role to help position Viewpoints for new market growth and expansion.

To lead content and social media strategies, Carol Fowler becomes Vice President of Editorial. Carol is a senior manager, award-winning journalist and social media expert with an innovative career in generating video and online content with a sharp eye on audience engagement and appeal. Carol will lead a team of writers to create user-friendly, informative articles and videos that give visitors to Viewpoints buying information across more than 400 categories of products on site, which is then shared through social media.

Denise Chudy's digital strengths
Previously, Denise Chudy was founder of Digital Footprint, a marketing firm specializing in developing strategies and execution plans for companies that want to win with digital. She also spent over seven years in various leadership positions at Google and has the distinction of being Google's first head of automotive and CPG lead. Denise's previous leadership roles also include serving as national vice president at Tremor Video, and she was the first vice president of national sales at Cars.com, where she launched a new revenue generating division for the company.
Denise received her Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Masters in Marketing and Finance from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Previously, Carol Fowler served as news director of both on-air and online content at three Chicago news operations, WGN-TV (1999-2002), WBBM-TV CBS2 (2002-2009) and most recently, WFLD-TV Fox Chicago (2009-2012). She received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and was honored in 2010 with the George Foster Peabody Award for distinguished journalism.
