OnlineGURU (OG) launched the site as a portal for drivers in 1999. Since then, DMV.org has evolved alongside the Internet into a useful resource with more than 16,000 pages of state-specific content. It covers driver's licensing, vehicle registration, title transfers, auto insurance requirements and more.

About the 100K milestone, Chief Guru Raj Lahoti said, "With the advent of social networking we've been able to serve our community of drivers on a deeper level. With Facebook in particular, we can effectively connect with people, get real-time feedback and create a positive user experience day after day."

Most recently, OG expanded DMV.org's traffic ticket section in response to numerous visitors searching related terms. The 300+ new articles detail penalties and fines and also steps on payment, disputing/fighting charges, recovering lost tickets and reducing driving record points. Lahoti added, "Each day we get a better understanding of how we can best serve the driving public. Today, I feel we are really harnessing the power of social networking. It's an honor to have so many supporters as we aim to make dealing with the DMV a more pleasurable experience."

In less than eight months, DMV.org went from having 50K to 100K Facebook "Likes." OG Community Manager Dave Trager says the site's wild popularity affirms the team's efforts to simplify DMV-related info and offer accurate content and useful products and services. "DMV.org thrives because of our users. They communicate what they're looking for, ways we can improve and how we can work together to make dealing with the DMV less painful. Plus we're constantly receiving positive feedback about the site, and this is further confirmation that we are providing a very valuable service for our users."
