LPS Local Government Solutions is Streamlining County's Processing of 425,000 Annual Court Cases
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Local Government Solutions division of Lender Processing Services (LPS), announced today it has completed the initial phase of the installation of its advanced criminal court management technology, ShowCase®, in the Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller's Office.
The Palm Beach County implementation represents the largest installation of ShowCase® to date. Palm Beach, the 29th most populous county in the U.S. with nearly 1.3 million residents, will use ShowCase® to handle the approximately 425,000 criminal court cases the county processes each year.
ShowCase® software turns paper documents into electronic images and provides workflow management, calendaring, indexing and search capabilities for the court. ShowCase provides users electronic filing capabilities and allows the clerk's office to scan and electronically save all documents, including filings, pleadings, dispositions, citations and invoices with more functionality than other technologies.

ShowCase® can be integrated with other technologies offered by LPS Local Government Solutions for property appraisers, tax collectors, county recorders and tax deed offices. The local government division has installed municipal software in about 250 counties across the U.S., including 30 in Florida.
In Palm Beach County, ShowCase® will link with Florida state criminal reporting systems and benefit other members of the criminal justice community, including court administration, sheriff's offices, public defender offices, state attorney offices and other justice partners, including attorneys.
ShowCase® supports the acceptance of documents in paper or electronic form, in compliance with a recent state electronic filing mandate.
Whether documents are received in paper or electronic form, Showcase automatically redacts sensitive information, such as Social Security and driver's license numbers, and reduces manual data entry through its seamless interface with Intellidact® software from Computing System Innovations. ShowCase® assists clerks with case management and reports a more accurate and timely criminal history to state and national law enforcement agencies, driver's license divisions and collections agencies.
