Shopatron Clients Enjoyed a 24% Increase in Online Sales in 2011

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Shopatron, provider of retail-integrated eCommerce for over 1,000 brands worldwide, helped those brands achieve above-average growth this year. Existing Shopatron brands finished the year with an average 24% increase in same-store sales.
In Q4 alone, brands in Home & Housewares, one of Shopatron's newer industries, saw amazing same-store sales growth of 99% over Q4 2010. The eCommerce provider added several new brands in this category, including Wine Doctor and Fortessa, reflecting the increased awareness by brands in previously eCommerce-resistant industries that online sales have become a necessity.

Shopatron has seen significant growth in 2011—the year that marked its 10th year in business. The eCommerce provider added 315 brands in 2011, reaching the 1,000-brand milestone last April.
The company also saw significant international growth. Shopatron operates in 14 countries, supporting four languages and seven currencies and launched international operations for more than 50 brands in 2011. This included US-based brands like K2 Skate and Stronglite that expanded their distribution into Europe, as well as European and Canadian brands, including Ice Bug Sweden and Giant Bicycles, that took advantage of Shopatron's comprehensive international support to serve their local markets.
