HONOLULU, Dec. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Calling, downloading apps and surfing the web on the Verizon Wireless 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers in Kauai, thanks to a new cell site in Paauilo.  This site improves 3G wireless coverage and capacity along Kaunanano Road, Paauilo Mauka Road, Kalopa Lower Road, and Highway 19 at mile marker 34.

Since being founded in 2000, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $6.5 billion in its California network.  Nationally, the company has invested more than $65 billion over that same period to increase the coverage and capacity of its network, and to add new services.
