Noblis Team Wins FAA's ECSS Contract

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Noblis and its team members, including Flatirons Solutions Corporation, the Enterprise Communications Support Services (ECSS) contract. ECSS is considered to be "NextGen-enabling" because of its fundamental role in supporting the transformation of the National Airspace System (NAS) to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). The seven-year contract has an estimated value of approximately $350 million.

Under the ECSS contract, the Noblis team will provide a wide range of technology management support to the FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) Communications Services organization. Noblis' support to the FAA will include systems engineering, acquisition and program management, information systems development, and management studies and analysis. As part of the Noblis core team, Flatirons Solutions' specific role will include System-Wide Information Management (SWIM), Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) support.
