—The best selling motorcycle brand in Mexico complements its network of over 1,100 Grupo Elektra stores—
MEXICO CITY, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Italika, the best-selling motorcycle brand in Mexico, expands its distribution network for the first time beyond Elektra stores to include Tiendas Chedraui and wholly-owned Distribuidores Italika dealerships.
With over 1 million motorcycles sold over the past six years, Italika is the brand leader in Mexico, thanks to an unequaled combination of price and quality.
Italika bikes are currently sold in more than 1,100 Elektra stores, in addition to 152 Chedraui superstores, with attractive Banco Azteca credit available. Italika also directly operates 46 Distribuidores Italika dealerships that offer motorcycles and financing, as well as original parts and service, as an additional option to the network of 500 independent service centers in Mexico.
"Our commitment is to offer Italika transportation to more families in Mexico and the rest of Latin America," said Italika CEO Alberto Tanus. "We will continue to grow our sales network to expand the benefits of Italika to more consumers."
Beyond the Mexican borders, Italika is sold in Elektra stores in Guatemala, Honduras, Peru and Brazil. Italika is wholly-owned by Grupo Elektra, the leading financial services and specialty retailer in Latin America, with more than 2,200 points of sale in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Panama, El Salvador, Argentina and Brazil.
