Savtira Corporation Recruits Seasoned Executives to Lead B2B Sales Efforts

TAMPA, Fla., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Savtira Corporation (Savtira), a new provider of B2B Cloud Commerce solutions, today formally announced the creation of its Sales, Business Development and Strategic Alliance team.
Savtira's new Business Development Team is focused on establishing Strategic Alliances, selling e-commerce solutions utilizing the Savtira Cloud Commerce Platform, as well as acquiring content for the Savtira catalog. The company's platform is a fully integrated, end-to-end e-commerce and marketing solution for both digital media and physical goods.
The team is led by Laura Mayo, Executive Vice-President of Sales and Business Development. Laura is a veteran in the Internet and Software-as-a-Service industry with more than 25 years of experience in building sales and marketing teams, delivering significant revenue growth and profitability. Ms. Mayo has held a variety of executive level sales, marketing, and alliance positions at Internap Network Services, Akamai Technologies, Stratus Technology, and Anixter International.
The appointees to the Global Sales and Business Development team are:
David Hunter, President – Europe, has three decades of experience in the software industries. During his 15 years association with Sony DADC, David worked with most of the major software, games, music and video publishers and landed some of the largest optical media manufacturing contracts ever. He was instrumental in bringing to market new disc formats, digital services, and key technologies such as SecuROM DRM.
Mike Shamus is a seasoned veteran with over 30 years of Executive level Sales and Business Development experience in Technology and Media/ Entertainment industries. He has a proven sales track record with sales exceeding $100 million in annualized revenues, in companies such as Seagate Technology, Quantum, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Maxtor. He also played major leadership roles in establishing and managing global account teams for ATT, NCR and Motorola.
Doug Dunbar has held executive level positions in telecommunications and IT sales and marketing with over 25 years of experience. At Nextel, Nextel International and Sprint, he drove over $1.8 billion in annual revenues. Doug played a leadership role with Tata Consultancy Services where he sold and delivered over $12 million for a web portal project.
Joe Heinzen has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications and software industries where he achieved great success managing Oracle's Channel program; and, played an instrumental role with Neustar managing the sales group responsible for advanced traffic shaping services. Prior to Neustar, Joe worked in Sales at Bell Atlantic, MCI, Fifa, GE, QVC, GSI Commerce and Curse.
Brian Lehon has over 15 years of experience in high-tech sales. Brian achieved sales in excess of $150 million while working for Fortune 500 companies, including SAVVIS, Globix, Level 3, CDN Networks and Stream 57.
