Microsoft Announces Global Leader for Advertising & Online Business

Frank Holland rounds out team of online advertising veterans.
REDMOND, Wash., April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Microsoft Corp. today announced that Frank Holland, corporate vice president, has been selected to lead Microsoft's global advertising sales business, the Advertising & Online organization. Given the strategic importance of advertising sales to Microsoft, and the company's deep commitments to our advertising customers and partners, Holland and the business will report directly to Kevin Turner, chief operating officer.
Holland is a 13-year veteran of Microsoft who brings extensive global experience to this role, and for the past six years has served as corporate vice president of Microsoft's worldwide operations. In this capacity, Holland has worked closely with many of the company's customers and partners and has a reputation for helping businesses capitalize on opportunities for growth, particularly in the area of digital commerce.
The global leadership team reporting to Holland will not change. His leads include Keith Lorizio (U.S.), Laurent Delaporte (EMEA), Jason Scott (Asia), Richard Dunmall (Global Accounts and Agencies), Stephen Kim (Global Creative Services), and Marc Bresseel (Trade Marketing). Holland and his leadership team will continue to work closely with Qi Lu, president of Microsoft's Online Services Division, the driving force behind Bing and MSN, and more specifically with Rik van der Kooi, corporate vice president of the Advertiser & Publisher Solutions Group, and Yusuf Mehdi, senior vice president of the Online Audience Group. Both groups report to Qi Lu, under the Online Services Division structure.
