Donation to support the on-going efforts of the American Red Cross

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jason Hope, CEO of Jawa, a Scottsdale-based media solutions and software company, is pledging funds to the American Red Cross to aid in the ongoing relief effort in Japan.

Hope is deeply saddened by the magnitude 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that rocked Japan on March 11. "Times like this makes us realize how deeply connected we are to the rest of the world," Hope said. "My heart goes out to the millions of people who were impacted by this terrible event."

Hope chose the Red Cross because of the organization's record of service around the world. The Red Cross was one of the first relief groups on the ground providing food, water, shelter medical assistance and countless crucial services.

"We are witnessing the worst crisis in Japan's post war history, but it's absolutely crucial that we don't merely watch from the sidelines," Hope added. "I would like to encourage everyone to help out any way they can, whether it's a monetary contribution or volunteering."
