DETROIT, Feb. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Crain's Detroit Business on Monday is launching the first print version issue of its popular Crain's Michigan Business online publication that provides selective, in-depth coverage of business news throughout the state.
The print version of Crain's Michigan Business will be sent every second Monday of the month to about 5,000 business influencers outside of the traditional five-county region in Southeast Michigan that is covered by Crain's Detroit Business. All of the news covered in Crain's Michigan Business also will be inserted into that Monday's issue of Crain's Detroit Business, which has about 28,000 paid subscribers.
"We've had a fantastic response to Crain's Michigan Business as an online publication over the past year because our readers are hungry for perceptive business news that occurs anywhere in Michigan," said Mary Kramer, publisher of Crain's Detroit Business. "With Monday's launch, we are responding to those readers who have asked for a hard-copy version of the news."
Kramer emphasized that Crain's Michigan Business intends to act as a supplement to the regular business coverage that is provided by local print and electronic media throughout the state. "We have the utmost respect for the fine local business reporting that other media are performing in Michigan," Kramer said. "We see Crain's Michigan Business as a way to provide statewide business reporting to local markets and build dialogue among business leaders throughout Michigan."
