WHAT: Mango Passport®, Mango's latest language learning product created for people who want to successfully learn and communicate in a new language. The program also assists the user in gaining an understanding of a country's culture.

Mango Passport® differs from other language learning programs because it teaches users practical conversation skills they can use in common situations, not random words and phrases. Courses give users the language they need to successfully navigate a foreign country, seek authentic cultural experiences and engage in polite conversation without offending natives.

Upon purchase, Mango Passport® is downloaded directly from Mango's website and accessed from the user's home or office computer or laptop (Mango's programs were previously only available through libraries, schools and government organizations). Mango Passport On The Go!, an MP3 audio version (with a PDF companion guide) that can be used via iPhones, iPods and other MP3 devices, is also available.

STATS: Aside from weight loss, improving the mind tops Americans' list of self-improvement New Year's Resolutions this year, according to a survey conducted by ISI Translation Services in November 2010. The nationwide survey asked 1,000 Americans to choose from a list of five "self-improvement" New Year's resolutions that they will make this year. 7.5% chose learning a foreign language. The survey also showed that younger age groups chose language learning at higher rates than their older counterparts. The age groups 18-24, 25-34 and 35-44 all beat the average – with 8 percent, 9 percent and 11 percent (respectively) choosing language as a personal improvement goal.
