CHICAGO, Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Built Environment presented "Careers Now" a recruitment fair targeted to construction, architecture and property job seekers from entry level to top level management, on November 4-5, 2010. The recruitment fair, now available on-demand, is supported by Building Design (BD), Building, and Property Week. The conference program covered the latest careers issues as well as providing advice and information for job-seekers presented via a series of webinars.
The Exhibit Hall offered booths from Hays, Aedas, Willmott Dixon and Barratt Developments, including web chats. In addition, the virtual career show floor was open for candidates to visit with recruiters and corporate human resources representatives and the networking lounge was open for informal chats as well as scheduled topic discussions.
Job seekers met employers and recruiters from around the world, explored career options, networked with peers and colleagues and attended valuable webinars, while employers and recruiters met global talent from the building and design industries.
Attendees visited employer booths, viewed and applied for jobs, uploaded resumes, chatted with recruiters, networked with peers and video interviewed, all from the comfort and convenience of home. In the Networking Lounge event attendees were able to chat with peers one-on-one or in group chats. All presentations were immediately available on demand.
The virtual event drew over 2,100 registrants and over 1,000 live attendees. Exhibitors were visited by an average of 276 attendees and webinars were watched by an average audience of 156.
