New Account Expands Technology Agency's Focus to include Sustainability and Green Businesses
SAN FRANCISCO and NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Bateman Group, an integrated public relations and social media communications firm, today announced that RecycleBank, the premier green rewards program that motivates people to take environmental actions, has retained the firm to serve as the organization's PR agency of record handling corporate and partnership communications, effective immediately. With this win, Bateman Group has expanded its client roster into the sustainability market while adding a second socially-aware business venture alongside pro bono client Little Kids Rock, the national nonprofit program providing free instruments and instruction to underfunded schools.
RecycleBank has hired Bateman Group to build awareness of the company's partnership program and communicate the business and environmental benefits of motivating individuals and communities to engage in positive environmental actions. Strategic PR programs will include: day-to-day communications counsel; messaging and positioning work; thought leadership campaigns; speaker placement; and ongoing outreach to the business, marketing, advertising and sustainability media. Vice President Tyler Perry, a seven-year Bateman Group veteran based in New York City, will lead the bi-coastal team effort.
RecycleBank was founded to foster a culture of more sustainable consumption by leveraging partnerships with corporations, municipalities and haulers to reach the individuals and communities capable of making a difference on the environment, and then motivating and rewarding them to do so. The company has had a tremendous impact on the environment to date, and is now expanding this to a global level, using the digital medium to grow its community, deepen engagement among members and build meaningful marketing partnerships with brands looking to connect with the eco-minded consumer.
"Since launching our first curbside recycling rewards program in 2005, RecycleBank has developed a large community of consumers interested in taking steps toward a more environmentally responsible lifestyle," said Ian Yolles, chief marketing officer, RecycleBank. "It's through our brand partnerships and platform innovations that we'll expand this mission to a global audience. Bateman Group's experience with companies that sell to marketers and brand managers is a huge asset as we look to attract more brands to join our movement to motivate positive environmental action."
"RecycleBank's unique vision and innovative digital rewards program is revolutionizing how consumers and businesses view their role in making a positive impact on the environment," said Tyler Perry, vice president, Bateman Group. "We've always been attracted to companies solving real problems in ground-breaking and sometimes disruptive ways. The opportunity to help advance RecycleBank's mission is a profound responsibility, and the team and I are inspired to go the extra mile to make that happen."
RecycleBank® motivates people to take greener actions and rewards consumers with points that can be redeemed from participating local and national business partners. Through collaboration and innovation, RecycleBank is helping to create a culture that encourages people to take simple steps towards greener lifestyles like residential recycling, electronics recycling, home energy conservation and more.
