ID Theft Assist Joins the Consumer Federation of America in Endorsing the Nine Things to Check When Shopping for ID Theft Services

BOONTON, N.J., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Worldwide Benefit Services, LLC (WBS), the creator of the ID Theft Assist(SM) program, is pleased to endorse the Consumer Federation of America's (CFA) tips to purchasing ID theft protection programs in recognition of "National Protect Your Identity Week." WBS welcomes all to examine the tips as the company has been part of the CFA's ID Theft Service Best Practice Group since the CFA's 2009 study of the ID theft service industry and assisted in developing the tips. In that study ID Theft Assist was praised for the clear emphasis of the restoration services offered and the product's overall clear communication to consumers.

Since that report, WBS has worked closely with the CFA, consumer groups, and other leading ID theft service providers as part of the panel in creating a model of best practices so consumers can easily understand the ID theft protection products they are purchasing. The CFA along with the Best Practices Group plans to release its industry standard practice suggestions later this year.
