LANSING, Mich., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan's Information Technology future remains in good hands. Ken Theis, a seasoned veteran who has successfully provided IT and business leadership for the State of Michigan for the past 12 years, reaffirmed his commitment to the industry and area by choosing Michigan-based Dewpoint, Inc., for his next career move.
Since the September 16th announcement that Theis was leaving his post as Michigan's Chief Information Officer and Director of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, some of the top public and private sector companies in the country have expressed interest in Ken Theis. Technology industry insiders have speculated as to what kind of opportunity and company would attract his attention. "It is a good day when we can report that the talent, skills and leadership of Ken Theis will be hard at work right here in the Michigan and greater Midwest area," said Dewpoint Chief Administrative Officer, Patti Howland.
"Too many talented people have left Michigan for other markets. It is people like Ken Theis that have a vision and can see the opportunity in this area's adversity who will bring us through the challenges of recovery and reinvention," said Andy Kotarba, President and CEO of Dewpoint, Inc. Before his State of Michigan service, Theis had a significant 10 year career at General Motors providing support to GM business, sales and marketing divisions. "Ken's leadership, experience and skills will help bring a stronger message to C-Level business offices, and our consultants will be better equipped to provide business technology plans and solutions that are more relevant and compelling," continued Kotarba.
"Dewpoint has an impeccable reputation and real depth of technical knowledge," said the new Dewpoint, Inc., Chief Operating Officer, Ken Theis. "I am excited to rejoin the private sector at Dewpoint, this is a good fit and I believe I can make a real contribution in technology consultation. "Theis begins his career at Dewpoint on October 1, 2010.
Dewpoint significantly impacts its enterprise customers by Making Technology Work in government, health care, education, manufacturing, retail, and financial services. Ken Theis will look to strengthen Dewpoint's consulting, technology and service offerings in Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence, Identity Management and Datacenter Support.
