New Colorado Rockies Pitcher CodeBaby in Development
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Scottish Stained Glass and CodeBaby's partnership continues to show dramatic results. The Denver-based stained glass company credits part of its success to its customized digital CodeBaby and its interactive presence on its website. Trained in Scotland, Scottish Stained Glass Owner Martin Faith has produced high quality custom stained glass for more than 25 years. In economic times when some homeowners are choosing to put off home improvements, Faith wanted a new and engaging way to market his company.
"I've tried hundreds of different marketing ideas over the years. I think as soon as I saw a CodeBaby on a website, I realized the potential client would be far more engaged by a CodeBaby then it could have ever be on a static website. I was sold within minutes," said Martin Faith, Scottish Stained Glass Owner.
The first step was to develop an emotionally engaging CodeBaby character for the company's website. Faith, a native Scotsman, wanted his character to emulate his Scottish persona. Appropriately named "Martin," Faith's CodeBaby evolved into a slightly younger version of himself. After extensive research, CodeBaby's design team ensured the character wore authentic Scottish attire--down to colors of the tartan and the details on the buttons on the shirt. Faith's Scottish brogue brought the Martin CodeBaby character to life, which launched on the Scottish Stained Glass website in July of 2009.
Within a week of the Martin CodeBaby on the company's website, the results were dramatic. The lead capture rate of prospective clients more than doubled. Additionally the time spent by prospective clients on the site increased affecting Faith's bottom line with an average of two conversions a day.
"I use the term 'radical results' when describing the impact a CodeBaby can have, but I don't know of another way to better describe results this extreme. To double a company's lead capture rate is phenomenal. CodeBaby's results speak for themselves, which is why we are currently at a pace to add several new customers per week," said Patrick Bultema, CodeBaby CEO.
Faith is putting his 'faith' in CodeBaby yet again with the development of a new character on his website. The Company is hoping to persuade Colorado Rockies pitcher Aaron Cook to become a new CodeBaby on the Scottish Stained Glass site this spring. The Cook CodeBaby character will invite prospective customers to participate in several promotions throughout the 2010 Major League Baseball season.
"Aaron Cook is our new company spokesperson. He is a previous client of ours, and I thought it made sense to create a CodeBaby with his likeness. The character will invite customers to sign up for a free bid on their homes. Once they have, each customer will receive a free autographed baseball by Cook and be entered to win free autographed jerseys when Aaron pitches. Then, at the end of the season, one lucky customer will receive a $20k home improvement project."
When asked what he would tell another business owner about his CodeBaby experience, Faith responded, "I wouldn't hesitate to do it again or to recommend CodeBaby. With so many websites out there, customers click from static site to static site, but with a CodeBaby on your website, it's like you're greeted by a person. It makes the experience fun and exciting, and it sets your site apart from the rest."
