This broad coalition is asking the American people to submit their own State of the Union Address via YouTube. The video submissions will be featured on TVTownhall.com over the next week and during the February 2 webcast, State of the Union, Voice of the People.
"Family Research Council is pleased to sponsor this webcast that will give voice to the millions of Americans who have grown frustrated watching Senator Reid along with Speaker Pelosi and her lieutenants draft a health care takeover bill behind closed doors with no television cameras," said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins. "This President who stepped into the Oval Office just over a year ago quickly made a hard-Left turn so fast that it gave Americans whiplash," he added.
"Through town halls, tea parties and many other grassroots activities, the American people have displayed a fervent opposition to a Leftist agenda that undermines our freedom, destroys innocent human lives and sticks taxpayers with the tab," concluded Perkins.
Organizations joining Family Research Council include THE New Voice, the Institute for Liberty, Media Research Center, Let Freedom Ring, Americans for Prosperity, Concerned Women for America, TEA Party Patriots and Freedomworks.
