DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 4,/PRNewswire/ -- Two-time Webby award-winning online video gaming destination announced today the launch of the "Stonking Great Game" contest, where participants from the site's three million strong community will compete to create the most hilarious browser-based video game. The submitted games must be centered on Zero Punctuation, the groundbreaking and award nominated video review series starring Australia-based and U.K.-born writer, video game designer and journalist Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.
"Zero Punctuation has become an acclaimed franchise within the video gaming community," said Alexander Macris, co-founder of . "We thought who better than the fans themselves to develop a game that could not only live up to the quirky facets that make the series such a sensation, but also to create a game that could face the scrutiny of Yahtzee!"
Every Wednesday Zero Punctuation picks apart the latest video games in an unfiltered style that can only be described as "rapid-fire" and "colorful." The "Stonking Great Game" contest gives the growing audience base the chance to create a unique gaming experience that will face the judgment of Yahtzee Croshaw, himself.
"People have tried to make ZP-based games before," said Croshaw. "But now they'll have to make them to some kind of actual standards, the poor suckers. Let's hope the entries will be as enjoyable to play as they will be to criticize."

All submissions must be created in Flash and must be original game concepts by the original creators playable in any PC browser. All entries must also have source code available for review.
