Public Safety Hot for Denver: E911 Company Calls the Mile High City Home
Sep 29, 2008 (08:09 AM EDT)
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Vixxi Solutions, a nationwide Enhanced 9-1-1 (E911) provider, announced plans today to relocate the company's corporate headquarters from Dallas to Denver in order to leverage the city's strong emphasis on public safety. This move comes on the heels of the Democratic National Convention, promising that politics aren't the only hot topic in Denver.
"This is a strategic move to align ourselves with a city heavily focused on public safety consciousness," says Christopher Camut, CEO of Vixxi Solutions. "From a sales and recruitment perspective, Denver is an excellent place to support our growing business. Dallas will continue to be the core of our technical presence."
Vixxi participated in the Mile High region's 9-1-1 Summit, sponsored by the Public Utilities Commission and Colorado Resource Center on Sept. 11. The summit explored how emergency call centers in Denver and the rest of the state can take advantage of next-generation technology from companies like Vixxi. Miranda Peters, Vice President of Operations at Vixxi, spoke at the event regarding the state of the industry and next steps that PSAPs can take toward building stronger 9-1-1 infrastructure.
Denver Metro is also home to Level 3 Communications, Vixxi's primary provider of E911 network connectivity; the two Denver-based companies work together to provide a more extended reach in support of public safety.
