Jul 02, 2008 (08:07 AM EDT)

PASADENA, Calif., July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Educators, students and lifelong learners alike can now access free content from INTELECOM Intelligent Telecommunications, as INTELECOM joins a growing number of educational institutions and content providers on iTunes U ( http://www.apple.com/itunesu/ ).

Since May 2007 Apple ( http://www.apple.com http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/ ) has been offering post-secondary institutions a portal on its popular iTunes Store ( ), called iTunes U, for publishing audio and video lectures. Files can be downloaded for free to a PC or Mac, and later transferred to a mobile device such as an iPod. Apple also provides institutions with an administrative backend for uploading content and templates for building their own iTunes U sites.

Visitors to INTELECOM on iTunes U can download a short video clip about global warming and its impact on sea level, a full-length video on nutrition, or an entertaining drama that teaches English as a Second Language.
