Outdoor Channel Promotes Conservation and Outdoor Stewardship Through Multi-Platform Campaign

TEMECULA, Calif., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Outdoor Channel, America's Leader in Outdoor TV, today launched "This Land is Your Land," a comprehensive corporate responsibility campaign that is based on the four 'CORE' principles of conservation, outreach, responsibility and education. The campaign targets viewers, partners and employees and will combine on-air, online, guerilla and local grassroots tactics.

"The 'This Land is Your Land' campaign will inspire more people to connect with the great outdoors through emphasis of the 'CORE' values of conservation, outreach, responsibility and education," said Denise Conroy-Galley, senior vice president of marketing and research at Outdoor Channel. This campaign is about using this passionate audience to spread the message of conservation and related values far and wide."

Beginning later in 2008, Outdoor Channel will launch the campaign with viewers, affiliates, sponsors and advertisers through programs targeted directly at each audience. In addition, Outdoor Channel will leverage its considerable ties with over a dozen outdoor partner organizations to launch the program to members and their local communities.

"This Land is Your Land" will build from the inside out, playing a role in daily Outdoor Channel operations through customized internal communications and employee activities such as volunteering for conservation and outdoor-related causes. Outdoor Channel will provide affiliates with cross channels that focus on the campaign's core values. These cross channels will be co-branded, displaying both the Outdoor Channel and partner brands. Moreover, future programming segments will inspire viewers to get outdoors with calls to action from on-air personalities.
