Apr 14, 2008 (08:04 AM EDT)

DULUTH, Ga., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, was honored for its leading ethics program initiatives by the Ethisphere Institute, a think-tank dedicated to the research and promotion of best practices in business ethics and compliance.

Ethisphere recently completed research for its Government Contractor Ethics Program Ratings and Rankings and published the results in the first quarter issue of Ethisphere Magazine. DataPath was ranked:

-- No. 1 in "Small Company Ethics Programs." -- No. 3 among private companies. -- No. 13 among all government contractors.

In addition, the company was recognized as having one of the "Ten Best Codes of Ethics and Business Conduct", including the highest rating for "Tone from the Top."

"At DataPath, our ethical standards are key to our culture, business practices and strong business relationships with government customers as well as our partners and suppliers," said Dave Helfgott, president and CEO of DataPath. "We appreciate being recognized for the standards that we apply to our business every day."

As part of the research initiative, Ethisphere analysts researched and contacted more than 1,000 federal government contractors based on their total contract value for 2006. The rankings are based on the companies' ethics programs, including information voluntarily provided by the participants. Many of the industry's top contractors participated in the study, which takes into account new Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) rules regarding U.S. government contractors' ethics programs and other criteria for compliance programs and industry best practices.
