Mar 25, 2008 (08:03 AM EDT)

BARCELONA, Spain and BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, March 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Private Media Group Inc. and Playboy TV Latin America announce the recent launch of the PRIVATE television channel with leading cable operators in Brazil, Argentina, Central America and the Caribbean, and a new Video-on-Demand service for South America available in Q2/08.

The launches on the following systems are a significant achievement in the rollout of the channel in Latin America:

-- In Brazil, on NET, the largest pay-television operator in Latin America. -- In Argentina, on Telecentro, one of the leading cable operators in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires. -- In Central America and the Caribbean, on Telmex cable companies, primarily in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Republica Dominicana.

As a result of this expansion, a significant incremental subscriber base in Latin America will be able to buy the PRIVATE channel. In addition to these launches, a new PRIVATE Video-on-Demand service will be introduced in the region this year.

Mariano Varela, Executive VP and General Manager of Playboy TV LA, added: "The agreements we have signed recently in Argentina, Brazil and Central America represent significant growth for our distribution deal with Private. Private has strong brand equity in Latin America, and we expect continued growth in the region in 2008."

"We are very pleased with the strategic relationship we started with PTVLA in 2005 and the revenue growth expected in the near term in Latin America. This is a rapidly growing marketplace for adult entertainment and we will continue to provide expanded content offerings in the region. This is consistent with our overall global expansion on to new media platforms," said Peter Cohen, Chief Operating Officer of Private Media Group, Inc.
