beRecruited.com Launches Innovative Widget: beRecruited Player Cards

ATLANTA, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- beRecruited.com, the nation's largest free online network for high school athletes seeking recruitment from college coaches, announced today the launch of beRecruited Player Cards, an innovative feature designed to allow users to share their athletic and academic profiles in a widget that can be easily added to their profiles on MySpace, Facebook or personal websites.

The beRecruited Player Card, available beginning today, enables high school athletes to reach and communicate with potential college coaches, relatives and fans through various digital platforms across the web.

beRecruited partnered with Chicago-based Inverted Creative to develop the beRecruited Player Cards. The widget seamlessly integrates information from the beRecruited player profiles, including photos, video and statistics.

To date, beRecruited has more than 185,000 total registered users, including more than 166,000 high school athletes, 9,700 college coaches, 5,800 high school coaches, and 2,600 fans.

beRecruited was founded in 2000 by Ryan Spoon, a collegiate swimmer for Duke University, in an effort to make the recruiting process more efficient for high school athletes and NCAA coaches.
