The beRecruited Player Card, available beginning today, enables high school athletes to reach and communicate with potential college coaches, relatives and fans through various digital platforms across the web.
"We are always exploring new technologies that allow us to further our mission of effectively and efficiently connecting high school athletes with college coaches," said Jeff Cravens, president of beRecruited. "This widget shares an athlete's success and scholarship quest with the online world. Our focus on technology and our results-driven platforms have allowed us to grow at a record pace, solidifying our position as the largest online recruiting service in our industry."
beRecruited partnered with Chicago-based Inverted Creative to develop the beRecruited Player Cards. The widget seamlessly integrates information from the beRecruited player profiles, including photos, video and statistics.
"beRecruited is an industry leader, in part because of their innovative technology applications," said Michael T. Quintos, CEO of Inverted Creative. "Leveraging a widget to extend the beRecruited brand beyond their website to spread virally across social platforms is a proven way to engage with more users. I believe this application works perfectly with their business model and will strike a popular chord with users, as well as the industry."
beRecruited experienced record growth in all categories in 2007, garnering a 132% increase in registered student-athletes and a 490% increase in unique visitors. To date, beRecruited has more than 185,000 total registered users, including more than 166,000 high school athletes, 9,700 college coaches, 5,800 high school coaches, and 2,600 fans.
