STOCKHOLM, Sweden, and SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Enea (Nordic Exchange/Small Cap/ENEA), a world leading provider of network software and services, today announced the launch of its Wireless Solution Center to complement the company's existing wireless services and products businesses. With the Wireless Solution Center, Enea can offer a solutions-oriented approach using Enea's enabling software technology and services expertise to solve handset OEM and ODM industry issues. The center builds on the long experience Enea has as an industry leader in software for mobile handsets, as well as provider of software and services to the wireless handset market.
"The demand for total solutions, not just for software components or standalone services, is increasing," said Johan Wall, president and CEO at Enea. "Enea plays a vital role in developing complete wireless platforms to solve a wider variety of wireless industry issues, and the Wireless Solution Center is central to accomplishing that objective."
The wireless industry is rapidly evolving in terms of complexity of software, ecosystem, innovation, and cost requirements. The ability to rapidly integrate Enea technologies with third-party software, custom-developed applications, and differentiating the software from key handset OEMs and ODMs is increasingly important in supporting the industry's innovation while assisting OEMs and ODMs in managing costs and software complexity. During the last 10 years, Enea has acquired vast services and software expertise through close collaboration on handset platform development with several major manufacturers. Enea is now taking a major step in expanding this expertise in developing wireless platforms, integrating new functionality and integrating software from third parties into major handset platforms.
"The Wireless Solutions Center provides us the opportunity to capitalize quickly on the increasing demands of the wireless software industry," continued Wall. "The market is global and so is our offer."
