PacificNet Octavian to Unveil Latest Gaming Product - Rebel Gaming Platform - for Enhanced EGM Performance

LONDON, Jan. 21 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- PacificNet, Inc. , a leading provider of gaming technology, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and e-commerce in China, announced today that its Octavian International Limited ("Octavian") subsidiary has launched its high-performance gaming platform Rebel. The Rebel platform is one of a number of new products which Octavian will be presenting at ICE, Earls Court, London, 22-24 January, 2008 booth 3230.

The Rebel gaming platform is a ready-to-connect computing engine for EGMs (Electronic Gaming Machines) which has been designed to meet all known regulatory requirements for use in networked casinos, AWP and other gaming applications. The Rebel platform comprises state-of-the-art components sourced by Octavian's OctaSupplies division, which will form the computing engine of Octavian's own Maverick 1000 flat-pack EGM. In addition to being at the heart of Octavian's revolutionary pre-assembled Maverick, Rebel will also be made available for new EGM manufacturing as well as a cost-effective upgrade to existing compatible EGMs.

The Rebel platform consists of a fully gaming-optimised motherboard - featuring Celeron M performance - plus memory, comprehensive connectivity, a built-in power amplifier and more, all pre-configured in a robust metal housing. Networking is enabled through on-board Ethernet or Wireless and a full set of pre-configured interfaces enable simple connection of the touchscreen, hopper, printer and other CCTALK peripherals. X-Series and SAS 6 communication protocols are supported for compatibility with most modern EGMs and game titles.
