Grantham University and GX(R) Magazine Give New Mexico Army National Guard Member Full Scholarship

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Grantham University ( http://www.grantham.edu ), specializing in educating working adults, today announced that it would award Sergeant Russell Norris one of 54 Army National Guard Scholarships. SGT Norris, a member of the Army National Guard for 18 years, serves with the 717th Brigade Support Battalion in Portales, NM. SGT Norris will be awarded the scholarship in a presentation at 10:00 on Saturday, December 1st, 2007 during drill weekend in Clovis, NM.

"This is a chance for me to improve myself by gaining the knowledge needed to complete in today's world," said SGT Norris. SGT Norris plans to earn a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice ( https://www.grantham.edu/academics/degrees_cj_general.php ) with a specialty in Homeland Security from Grantham University.

In conjunction with GX(R) magazine, a nationwide publication for members of the National Guard and their families, Grantham University provided one full, four-year scholarship to an Army National Guard member in each of the 50 states and four U.S. territories including DC, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The scholarship, valued at approximately $34,000, covers: tuition costs, required textbooks and software.
