AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Surgient, the leader in Virtual Lab Management Applications for software testing, training and evaluation, today announced that it achieved record growth in the third quarter of 2007. With a record number of new deals in the third quarter, including the company's first seven figure license deal, Surgient is on pace for 60 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Surgient third quarter bookings grew to almost three times the bookings for the same quarter in 2006.

Surgient signed several new customers, including Genesys Labs, Halliburton Landmark Graphics, Raymond James, Serena, Ultimate Software and Vontu. The company saw repeat business from BMC, CA, Dell, EMC, Information Builders, Kana and Target Corporation. The companies selected Surgient Virtual Lab Management Applications to accelerate software development, deployment, testing, training and sales.

"The growing interest in virtualization technology to reduce computing costs has led to increased demand for applications that help organizations manage their virtualization investments," said Tim Lucas, president and CEO, Surgient. "As the pioneer of the virtual lab management market, Surgient is well positioned to respond to the market's demand for virtualization management. As shown by our third quarter success, more companies are already implementing virtual labs to streamline software testing, training and demos, reducing IT costs and accelerating software delivery cycles."

Surgient virtual lab applications enable organizations to automate and enhance vital software sales, marketing, training and development/testing processes. By eliminating the substantial time and cost required to manually deploy, configure, and tear down complex software lab environments, Surgient virtual lab applications raise the reliability and effectiveness of today's software delivery lifecycle activities, resulting in greater productivity and a more rapid return on investment. With a powerful dynamic resource pooling, management and reservation system and support for heterogeneous virtual and physical infrastructures, Surgient is poised to continue its rapid growth and remain the leader in the virtual lab management market.
