SI International Awarded $10 Million U.S. Army Military Personnel Support Services Contract

RESTON, Va., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SI International, Inc. , an information technology and network solutions (IT) company, announced today that it was awarded a prime contract to provide personnel administration and human resource automated systems operations supporting the military personnel services mission of the US Army Garrison, Aberdeen Proving Ground (USAGAPG). The contract has a one-year base period with three one- year option periods. The contract value is approximately $10 million if all option years are exercised. The value of this contract win was included in the October 11, 2007 news releases announcing awards in excess of $450 million for the month of September 2007.

SI International will provide a full range of Military Personnel information system operations and personnel services for Commanders, Soldiers, military retirees, and their Families at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Located in Harford County, Maryland, Aberdeen Proving Ground serves as a center for Army materiel testing, laboratory research, and military training. Today, the USAGAPG Military Personnel Office supports more than 3,600 military personnel, 2,300 Family members, and 5,000 military retirees.

Work under this contract began on October 1, 2007. SI International has provided similar services to the USAGAPG since 1999.
